How can we help?

Answers to the most common questions are below. If yours isn't here, email support@session-flow.app — replies usually within a day or two. New to the app? Start with how SessionFlow works, or see how we handle your data in the privacy policy.

Sync & setup

How do I set up SessionFlow on a new Mac? +

Sign in to the same Apple Account, install SessionFlow from the Mac App Store, and open it. Your sessions, tracks, albums, and audio attachments sync down from your private iCloud database automatically. Large libraries can take a few minutes on first launch.

Sync seems stuck — what should I check? +

Confirm iCloud Drive is enabled in System Settings → Apple Account → iCloud, and that SessionFlow shows ICLOUD SYNC ACTIVE in the lower-left corner. Changes sync when the Mac is online; very large audio files land last. If it stays stuck, quit and reopen the app.

Can I use SessionFlow without iCloud? +

Yes. Everything works locally without iCloud — you just won't get sync between Macs. You can move your library manually with backup export and import.

Audio & files

Which audio formats are supported? +

WAV, MP3, and AIFF. Drop a file on any track card, or use Attach audio and Record an idea in the inspector's FILES section.

Why does the app ask for microphone access? +

Only for the Record an idea button in the inspector, and only when you press it. The app makes no other use of the microphone and no network connections beyond your own iCloud database.

Are my audio files copied or referenced? +

Copied. Attachments are stored inside SessionFlow's library, so cards keep playing even if you move or delete the original file.

Backups & data

How do I export a backup? +

File → Export Backup produces a single archive of your entire library, including audio attachments. Import it on any Mac via File → Import Backup.

Is anything sent to your servers? +

No. There are no accounts and no data collection — the App Store privacy label is “Data Not Collected.” Data lives on your Mac and in your private iCloud database only.

I deleted something by mistake. +

Undo (⌘Z) covers everything, and destructive actions ask for confirmation first. If the app is already closed, restore from a backup export.

Still stuck?

Include your macOS version and what you were doing when the problem appeared — it makes the fix much faster.
